MHE Himalayan Camp, Chamba
Chamba is located very strategically in the centre of Garhwal provides great access to Mussoorie, Dehradun and the other MHE camps at Tons, Auli, and Shivpuri. It can also be used as a stopover en route to the Holy Temples of Kedarnath and Badrinath.
Luxury tents, spectacular Himalayan views, sumptuous outdoor cuisine and a host of adventure activities and close proximity to Delhi (280 kms) all combine to make the MHE Himalayan Camp at Chamba your choice for great getaway.
The camp is set amidst 25 acres of apple orchards with a breathtaking view of the Bandarpunch range, and on clear days even the mighty Nanda Devi. Chamba is located very strategically in the centre of Garhwal provides great access to Mussoorie, Dehradun and the other MHE camps at Tons, Auli, and Shivpuri. One could also visit Tehri dam reservoir or the Surkanda Devi temple.
Day 1: Arrive at MHE Chamba Camp
Arrive at MHE Chamba camp in time for lunch. Post lunch at leisure in camp to enjoy the peaceful surroundings or a short trek can be undertaken into the surrounding forest area. Arrive back at the camp for a hot cup of tea and enjoy the scenic Chamba valley. Bonfire followed by sing- song and dinner. Overnight in deluxe tents.Day 2: Chamba - Visit Tehri Dam or Trek to Surkanda Devi/activities
Wake up to a great sun rise followed by a nature walk into the adjoining pine forests. Return to camp for breakfast. Post breakfast drive to visit the Tehri Dam back waters (1.5 hrs) or trek to Surkanda Devi temple (3 hrs ). Return to the camp for a hot sumptuous lunch. Post lunch enjoy the camp surroundings or play a game of throw ball. Time for a hot cup of tea followed by Bonfire and dinner. Overnight in deluxe tents.Day 3: Adventure Activities/stay at Aaranyya (forest lodge)
Post an early morning breakfast, go for a trek to Surkanda Devi temple (3 hrs). Arrive back at the camp in time for lunch. Post lunch, adventure activities like Burma Bridge, Flying fox & River crossing can be undertaken. Evening tea followed by bonfire and dinner. Overnight in deluxe tents.Day 4: Chamba - Raft Marine Drive - Shivpuri - Departure
Wake up early to a great sun rise followed by a nature walk into the adjoining pine forests. Return to camp for a sumptuous breakfast. Post breakfast, drive for about 60 kms to the MHE Shivpuri camp. From here we drive for about 20 minutes to Marine Drive the start point for rafting. You will negotiate small but exciting rapids like Cash Flow, Black Money, Three Blind Mice, Camp Rapid and Return to Sender. You Post Rafting depart for onward journey.Tents
All the tents have attached baths. Our own manufacturing unit has specially designed the tents. The sleeping area is approx. 100 sq. feet with a canopy in front providing a 5 X 5 feet verandah and a small attached changing area at the rear. All tents are provided with twin beds with crisp linen, two easy chairs in front and the inside furnishings like a bedside table and a clothes. MHE tents are the only ones that offer attached ground sheets to protect sand and insects from entering the tent.
Cuisine
We believe in home cooked, sumptuous meals with a varied choice of Indian, Chinese and continental cuisines. Personal requests if any, can be catered to.

Our team of highly experienced guides,MHE Jungle Camp cooks and management have spared no efforts to make the camp a very comfortable and fun place to be. MHE guides are highly trained professionals and use the latest techniques and equipment. Safety forms the basis for all our programs and utmost care is taken to ensure safe practices at all levels.
